cotton pickin' time...

That's always interesting to me,, up here in Ohio I know very little about cotton,,how many lbs. per acre are normal for harvest...
 
Back in the 50's here in NE Tx, we were doing good to get a bale to the acre, that was hand pulled and weighted about 2000 lbs b/f ginning, that would make about a 500 lb bale of ginned cotton. The gin would clean and removed the seed and wrap the compressed bale in burlap for shipment.
