Stopped at a place today I stop at from time to time and he had 2 Lamborghini diesel engine for sale. Both 1 cylinder and from what he said they had come off those signs you see on the side of the road telling you things. I know nothing about them other then he has them. E-Mail is open if any body would like more info

No....that is NOT what the spell check came up with, that is what personal knowledge of the product came up with. I have owned both brands in the past!

Gee Old, isn't it great that we have those on here that are so exceptionally smart that they can correct us old dumb farmers. Course being dumb old farmers, we don't have any of those high dollar foreign machines, we just have paid for fords, John Deere and Massey Ferguson along with some of the old Allies thrown in for good color. I just don't understand how you could be so stupid as to get those mixed up LOL. Keith

I have several I've bought the whole works on the trailer, sign and all at state surplus sales usually go for around $250 with non working sign. They are usually set at around 2800 RPM good to run a small generator or a hydro drive garden tractor.

If I lived closer I'd buy one just for the novelty of it. Back in the 70's my father in law had a single cylinder British made diesel running a conveyor at his gravel pit. He bought it well used so I don't know how old it was.

I seem to have struck a nerve. I also have had Masseys, Deeres and New Hollands and I can assure you that I don't buy unless I can buy with cash. I am also wrong from time to time, but, not this time!

Anyone that has ever had a Lamborghini engine knows better than the ever have another one. There was a period of time that the message board manufacturers used small Diesel engines. The European small Diesel engines ran rough with so much vibration they would shake themselves apart. I specified Yanmar Diesel engines on the message boards for ADOT because they ran smooth as a gas engine and would not self-destruct.

Later some of the message board manufacturers came out with satisfactory LED message boards powered by solar power, so the engines were no longer needed. Some of the manufacturers tried to sell us message boards that would blank out is direct sunlight; that would become an instant liability to the State, so I refused to buy their brand of message boards.

Thieves stole a couple of the engine powered message boards. We assumed that they have been taken across the border to the south, but the frame turned up in a landfill in a small town with the serial number still stamped in the frame. No other parts were found. Somebody probably did have a Diesel powered Go Cart though.

I still have my Wink o Matic manual.Never did like working on the things. Best part was I could make free phone calls.

Generally speaking I think that it is a good for one who has additional or closer to original information on something to correct someone who has something wrong, provided of course that it is done in a friendly way. Who wants to go around looking foolish saying something wrong.

I have one of them on my wood slitter with a two stage pump. Running at a fast idle it will split anything I can get onto the beam.
It'll run all day on a gallon of fuel. The only problem is when it's cold out, It blows a lot of white smoke till it warms up. Burns pretty clean after that.

I enjoy getting the correct info.

I tend to be rather short with my typing, and often when u read what I wrote a few days ago, I sound much more choppy, or short, or to the point
than I ever, ever am in person, or intend to be.

I keep trying to do better, but I alaways drift back to making terse pointed messages at times..... Sigh.

Anyhow, this dumb old farmer always enjoys being educated, of anyone can get something through my thick skull..... One of the good things of
Internet forums is a group of answers, one can pick and blend the answers to fit the personal needs a lot better than just getting one answer
that works in one place?
