Please give us some information about this tractor. Is this something that you fabricated? It would be hard to believe that it came from John Deere like that. If it did then it's the first one I've seen and I'm 64 and grew up during that era. Thanks!

Would you believe that it was an aftermarket kit that was developed by retired engineers from the Essex Tri-Directional?

Yes I built this in my shop here in Central Ohio the past summer.

ost impressive work!!!

Did you borrow the combine? The 12A was the combine here for years. The tractor which did all the PTO work (combine, baler, corn picker, etc.) had no tach. Somehow it all got done!

That does look like heavy plowing. Third gear?

I didn't realize how heavy the 60 is. 6000# without the MFWD? I see the weights. Have the tires got any fluid in them?

Yes I borrowed the combine from a friend of mine out there, The tractor weighs 7080 the way it sets,, I think I added about 1,000 lbs with the conversion. And yes it pulled very hard in the hard dirt, I was in 2nd gear and had all I wanted then, no fluid in the tires..

Thanks,, I will try to post more fab pics latter,, building them are half the fun,, I made a 60 Crawler a couple years ago and had it at Rantual,,here are some clips of it.

Was following that on the JD forum, really interesting build, so is the crawler. I'm wondering what track frames you fitted to it, very nice conversion!

Used 2010 track frames, had to widen them 10" to let all clear the belt pulley, it was a fun project..

Tim you did one heck of a job on that and the crawler. It seems I never get those type of projects done. You are a good time manager.

Tim I would like to meet you and see your creations. When and where are your next tractor shows you will be attending. I live just north of Columbus I will try to make it out. These 60s look amazing. What is your background these are engineering marvels and the fabrication looks very professional.

I will be at one more small show in Adamsville Ohio, north east of Zanesville, in a week or so (not sure of date)your welcome to stop in any time, visitors can drive them.. I don't get to show them near enough, but plan on showing more next year, I need to find a way to haul them that satisfys the DOT...
