Well I switched doctors this summer and I'm headed to my new doctor in an hour for my first stress test. Nothing wrong but he just wants to get a base line now that I am closer to 60 than 50.

Wow I can't believe I just said closer to 60 than 50. Where did the time go?

Ever since I turned 50, it's seemed like my life has been on "fast forward".

Seems like yesterday I was 40 now I'm 56. I had an older gentleman explain it to me. As we get older we get more years behind us so each new year is a smaller part of our life. So it seems to go faster. I hope that makes sense.

Those stress tests are not to bad unless you let them inject you that is. I had one a number of year ago and they wanted to inject me since they had trouble getting my heart rate up where they wanted it. Reason it took a lot is because I stay active which all people should do any how

I am just starting to not be able to work a hard full 8-10 hour days. Not getting up before 6:00am. In bed by 10:00pm. I am 71, but looking good. LOL.

My buddy told me the other day that life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the paper tube you get, the faster it spins..

John B.:

"Where did the time go?"

I'm still asking myself that. Just went to my 50 year High School Reunion a month ago. And the older I get, the faster the time disappears.

I'm creeping up on 60 too. I never had a stress test, prostate exam, or even a colonoscopy. I don't see any reason to try and extend my life, so why should I spend any time looking for trouble.

That's my philosophy too. I've got my life in order so when the Pearly Gates are ready, so am I. I see people whose whole life revolves around their next Dr. visit. I would rather drop dead today. Besides with a $6000 deductible I would probably starve to death anyway and I don't want to give everything I've worked for to a stranger..

I have now been retired longer than I worked, That is a strange feeling. Don't get me wrong I get up at 6am most mornings and go to work but I am not on anyone's payroll

Just wait until the next big numbers start with 8. It wasn't too many years ago I was working swing shift, and putting in 6-7 hours tractor work before going to work again that night. I sure can't do that now. Stan at 73

I tried three times to retire, finally made it at 66. No way I could hold a job now, I don't have time to work!
Paul at 72 and counting.
P.S. Stress test, piece of cake---colonoscopy, not so much.
