Relocated my hydraulic filter, and boy what a difference.

My pump would scream when I raised and lowered the bucket, so I decided it was time to relocate the filter. Cracked it open in the process and cleaned the mesh out inside. Sadly didn't get a picture of that, but now that it's back together, it is silent and quick to lift the loader. Had no idea the ferguson had so much potential.

Now it's up here, and everything works much better.

Very little engineering was involved with this machine, so little stuff I do makes it work much better.

A screen is considered a strainer, A filter you can not see through in simple terms but must be located on the return side not on the suction side.

It's a bit of a squirly setup. All the fittings are plumbing pipe, but they're not on the pressure side of things. It's a wagner loader built for the 8n/2n on a ferguson to-30. The original plans have no strainer or filter. The manual says to drain and strain every 100 hours.
