Ford 901 power shift rims

I have a couple sets of rims that the paint is
chipping off and they have some surface rust. I
would like to refinish them is sand blasting the best
way to remove the old paint and rust

Sand blasting is both the best and easiest way to prepare your rims for painting.

If the rims have CaCl damage, thoroughly scrub the rims with a heavy concentration of detergent and hot water before priming to remove any traces of CaCl.

and .... if the valve stem holes are rusted now is the time to rebuild them.
