Orange dust on grass

Every August as the ground dries in Michigan, I see the blades of grass getting an orange hue to them. Almost like a pollen of sorts. My boots turn orange from it, the edges of the wheels on all my equipment do as well. Happens not only in the yard but in the fields where my trees are planted.

Any ideas why this happens?

Thanks guys. I knew someone on here would know what this was.

To cure it, it takes water and more fertilizer, likely not going to happen from me. Its only my lawn. The lawn pops right back in the fall after a little rain anyways.

Thanks again.
