What a mess, called them, they have some regional call center. Said man would come between 10-12. At 9 I get call no way possible YIKES!!! Talked with person a few times and they could get some one out to area, some techs were not equipped for fleas etc!!! Said this is big issue with call center!!! Did not have a lot planed but messed up the day. So went and got stuff recommended here and helped friend go at it again. Looks like lots of vac work. AS A GOOD SIGN SEEING VERY FEW ADULT FLEAS. Oh not to impressed by Orkins performance they did not know if they were on foot or horseback!!!!! Also found out any other exterminators were a national chain or long ways off!!!!

This is no 100% cure but, fleas have a harder time living on very healthy animals. Budgeting for the cheapest food for pets invites fleas to live on them.

The stuff we use for our dogs for heartworm also controls fleas, so we've not had a problem with them since we started using it. It's not cheap, but give it to them once a month. Worth it to us.

If there are pets going in and out, need to treat the yard too, otherwise they'll be bringing them back in. If they roam free just have to keep them covered in flea powder.

I hate to say this, but I bet if I came to your house I could get rid of your fleas. The first thing I would do is remove any animals. I have never understood the need to have animals in the house...and I love dogs and cats and have several of each. One small short-haired dog lives in the house. Cats live where we store the hay. Larger dogs have good sturdy doghouses or can join the cats in the hay...which they do all winter long.

I just bought an old farmhouse and the stench of cat urine in there is going to make it un-rentable for months.

Fleas in the hay just add protein! :)

Man that is exactly right. There is no need to have any animal (ok - maybe some fish in a tank) in your house!
