469 Haybine Wobble Box Lower bearing and Plate

Question I am replacing the lower bearing in the wobble box and need to know where this bearing is suppose to ride on the little short bottom shaft plate? flush with the top? middle? bottom? It has a race locking collar. Or does it not matter? Thanks Men!

I replaced mine a while back and do not remember. But you may try to figure out what the alignment of the knife bar thru the guards wants it to do.

Been a long time but I think I locked the collar after it was assembled on the machine to get the alignment right. The bearing should be a press fit in the yoke.

Just like shown in your picture. The shims under the plate hold it tightly up into the wobble box bore.
