Corn harvest

Just got back from the farm. It looks like I'm no more than 2 weeks from starting harvest. All the green is gone from the stalks and most ears are at half mast. Next week I'll pull a few ears and check moisture, I'm guessing it'll be below 20 and above 17.
I planted April 8 and it's 115 day corn, this is a little early for the variety.
Just wondering where the rest of you are at? Expect Texas is done or nearly and Iowa and Illinois aren't close.

up in n cent illinois, ours doesnt look good. we had so much rain in june and july it washed all the nitrogen out and the corn fired close to a month ago. be lucky if we make 140/bu/acre.

I checked mine here in mid Michigan yesterday. Most is just starting to dent. The last few fields of silage corn planted,no dents yet. I expect silage corn harvest to be about two weeks away, ear corn,7-8 weeks.

My son started today. 16% moisture. Trying to get as much done before Erika hits the southeast. LOL
As if the weather people knew what they were talking about.

Started "picking" two weeks ago here. Moisture has been from 20 to 17%. Need to pick and bag more tomorrow.
