sankyo ac compressor

My tractor has a sankyo sd 508 ac compressor, it has a seperate comparment for the oil, there is a fill camp on top of the compressor. When I recharge the system do I put oil in the lines, or does the oil in the compressor work into the system, or does the oil remain entirely seperate in the compressor. Just trying to find out how to recharge the system. I did try to recharge the system and the compressor would not take the refrigerant, the low side gage pegged out, am I doing something wrong or is my compressor shot. Thanks

The oil is not in a "separate compartment". It circulates through the system with the refrigerant.

Have you changed the compressor, or have you had a fitting leak oil, or why are you mucking around with thinking of adding oil?

Was the system completely discharged?

Did you evacuate it before attempting to charge it?

Is this a retrofit system, or is there some other way the port connections or the gauge connections could be swapped that you have such a high low side readign?
