With Uzina 3 cyl diesel engine $5000 --Run from it???--run to try to get it??
Looks really clean and well kept..

I don't personally know anything but I've got a neighbor that has a 5 acre "ranch" that has one. He seems to get along with it pretty well. 5 grand sounds high to me, I would think more in the $3000 range but new tires, low hours and such might bump it up a little.

Well that tractor is a total orphan now. Long became Farmtrac which went bankrupt then Montana. Which then ended selling new tractors in 2011. So basically the whole bloodline of the entire tractor history is either bankrupt or out of business.

Parts can be had only because it is a Uzina built tractor. So the basic drive line was used in other tractors. There are companies that sell parts for the major stuff. The little things that would have been on the model build just for Long are not available. Also the Universal/Uzina plant/company is no longer in business either. So that just makes everything more shaky.

They are not a terrible tractor. They are clumsy and crude. They were a cheap tractor when new and are not very valuable now. So the fellow wanting $5000 for a Long 2360 is DREAMING or fishing for a sucker. It is worth maybe 60% of that and even then there are not many buyers because of the uncertainty over parts.

They were ok long corrected some of its issues in the newer ones. If 4whd and low hour etc probably not bad but offer less.

I've bought several good Fiat built tractors because many people are saying the same thing you are about them but actually parts are readily available to anyone that'll take
10 minutes on their computer to find them.Import Tractor has about anything for the older Fiats from complete overhaul sets, new short/long blocks down to shifter knobs. Also a company in Greece that anyone in the USA can deal with has anything for the UTB built tractors.Parts are even available for the 4WD units they built back in the 1960's try buying 4WD parts for US
built tractors from back then.

Traditonal farmer: how much longer will the UTB built tractor parts be available??? I am just asking because my understanding is that the plant has been idle for close to ten years now. Are there enough demand for the after marketers to keep making the parts??? I am just asking because I have little experience with the UTB tractors. I just know some fellows around here that have UTB built tractors and they have fits getting the correct parts for their tractors.

The one fellow keeps twice as many tractors as he needs to keep enough in working order to keep going. He often jokes about how his farm sale will just be the local scrap yard dropping of some roll offs for his kids to fill. LOL
