Our 970 forage wagon spit out the steel that goes over the main apron drive shaft in the front of the box, need to find a new one. Our local dealer is useless on anything ash related anymore. Are there any online parts lookups for what's left of the ag stuff? I could then atleast look at the depot website and see if they have anything or do a search for the part number.

I would just have one made. It is just a flat piece of sheet steel with one end rolled. I have even made them by just taking flat sheet steel and tack welding a piece of pipe of the correct diameter to the sheet. I then heated the sheet steel and bent it around the pipe for the radius I needed. Gehl sheet metal parts are just about impossible to get anymore.
 
I can do that, but sometimes it's just nice to have the correct part that just fits in there. I'm gonna be a little pressed for time as it is getting ready for corn, so once we get the bedding out of it we may just drag it down to the local mfgs and see if they can make something work from one of their wagons.

I'm gonna look for a little while yet to see if I can find the correct part, but I'm not holding my breath. We replaced the same pc. in our 920 probably 5 years so and they still had it then.

Like JD said, just make or have one made. My late friend Loren always said "it was built not born, if one person made it surely another person can make another".....Ron
 
that helps a lot. Same exact one that we put in our 920 a few years ago. I found one online, it'll be at the farm in a few days as long as they actually have it in stock.

Like I said, time is short for me and I'd rather but a will fit part instead of making something that's gonna fit, and takes a full day between running around to find material and fabricate it. It's not that I can't do it. It's that I don't want to.
