Found the MH specs on the 260 and 277. For checking only set intake lash to .0145, set exhaust lash to .021. Intake opens at 0 BTDC, closes 35 ABDC. Exhaust opens 40 BBDC, closes 0 ATDC. After checking reset all valve lash to .014 hot. The book calls for + or - 5 degrees to be correct. 12 degrees early or late cam is one tooth off.
 
Dave ,when we dyno car engines we will try couple different valve adjustments to see if engine likes lil different cam ,or cam timing . I know you are not building a racer but be interesting to see output lil tight ,vs lil loose .
