It is very dry in my immediate area of southern NH. We get many rain systems coming across from NY and up from New Jersey, but most lose a good portion of their moisture as they rise to come over the higher ground that runs North-South in the center of the state. When you look at the radar you can see the green masses fall apart as they come across. What little makes it across, almost all will go either north or south of us. We have had no significant precipitation since mid January. All the streams are drying up, the ground is dry and grass burning in many areas. I am very glad for a good deep well and no animals anymore.
