I have an ih 300 that I bought to use for parts. One of the guy's I know wants to buy the rear end or an axle. However neither of us has any idea of value of an axle or a rearend. What is a reasonable price for this? I appreciate your help!

Are the parts that he wants anything that you will use? If not, then put a price on them that will help you recover a PART of what you spent. Anything you can sell will be that much less you have to deal with when your project is complete.

I would think that just one rear axle shouldn't be priced over $100. Maybe less.

thats how salvage yards price. However if local friends or locals you will interact with , price as reasonable as possible.

Wilson, that is pretty much my theory on pricing unneeded, used tractor parts. It depends on who is wanting them. I've got some stuff that I would GIVE to a youngster if that would keep him/her interested in the hobby.
