Just kidding Larry, Took a drive today and snapped some pics. These are on the VA/WVA line area.

New York is a big and varied state not just NYC. I live in the Catskill Mts only about 100 NW of that city.

Heyseed, do you know the place NW of Winchester, near the state line, where a guy was attacked by about thirty Indians? He held them off by running up this steep high hill to a place where only one person could squeeze through at a time, and he pitched them over a high cliff one at a time. I passed by the historic marker there about two years ago, and when I tried to find it on line awhile ago I couldn't .

Run the thruway sometime. There's no hard pulls west of Buffalo. Seems to me it's all easy going clear over to Fultonville, and headed west there's only one real hill to climb, somewhere around Utica.

Between Cleveland and Boston, fuel savings from less traffic and from not climbing hills probably nearly pays the tolls in a car or pickup.

SMS it was a joke, I know NY state very well. Larry posts some nice photos of NY pretty regularly. I don't know that Indian story, but this area had a few tribes living here. These pics are from Morgan county, WVA and Frederick county VA.

Speaking of New York. The factory that I worked for back in the 80's sent me to the Corning Glass works, in Corning NY. Being from California, all the pictures of NY were tall buildings. I was amazed at all the open space, and farm land. If I ever get a chance I would go back. Stan

Sorry, I figured out later that I was wrong, that your post had a different sound to it that's why I'm back here. I should have said "it would be easy to confuse the two from the pictures".
