Nice green corn

About 3 miles down Rt30 is this nice green corn ....Ah that is a little slimey is it not? All of south jersey is a giant cat box of sand and yet this field has stood like this for better than three weeks. Why doesn't this guy bring in like 20 or 30 loads of sand "soil" and make the grade higher? The rain has held off for I think five days now and second cutting is flying. The late planted beans are starting to catch up. Peaches, yellow and white are very nice and I need to make a couple of batches of brandied peaches for the fair competition.

You really don,t know anything about the farm program do you. they don,t let fill in low ground, if you do you lose farm payments and they may make you remove the fill. He may be able to tile it out but he needs an OK from SCS

Add to the already posted comments that the government in their infinite wisdom might consider that to be a wetland, and fine the farmer heavily if he disturbs it in any way other than what he is already doing in planting and cultivating it.
