4010 mules stalls

If I push very gently on gas peddle, the engine stalls briefly, speeds up and stalls. Engine doesn't die, just lopes. If I push on gas peddle a little harder, it runs just fine at all speeds. It just the transition from an idle to run.

Tried injector cleaner. May try a higher octane.

Any ideas, only 200 hrs on engine.

Mine does the same thing. I was tod on another website that it is the carb adjustment. You have to remove the cap off the adjust screw to get to the adj. This was another EPA idea. They were made this way so people could not adj them.

Like Ivan said,it's an EPA thing. It's a little harder than busting a limiter cap off. You will find one of two things. Adjustment screw in a cavity which has been filled to conceal screws or small fixed jets witout screws. Dig the filler out that covers screws or remove pilot jets and increase size with letter bit or torch tip cleaner.

I have a 2009 4010 and it has been one of the most aggravating things I have ever bought. I have around 250 hours on it. From about 150 hours on, it wouldnt hardly idle.
It kept blowing fuses with no rhyme or reason. Would have a dead short that I tried unsuccessfully to trace and would then disappear. After several trips to the local Kawasaki dealer they said it had to be the fuel pump. $650 later it still blew fuses. They finally replaced the entire wiring harness, and that problem went away and the rough idle soon started.
Several more times in the shop and its still the same. It does seem to help if I run 93 octane gas and or sea foam.
Funny thing is it idles great in the winter with temps below about 40-45 degrees, but as soon as spring hits the rough idle is back.
I'll be watching this thread closely to see if someone has a good answer

It takes a security torx screw driver to loosen the TPS. I used a knife and marked
where mine was originally set. Moved it just slightly. Less of a problem now. I have
to push on gas peddle and make it go fast. By adjusting the idle stop, mine idles just
fine. It the transition from idle to high speed is where mile stalls briefly.

I read on a kaw site there someone took this apart and cleaned the throttle plate with
wd40, it was sticking and dirty. I had a GL1200, goldwing electric fuel injection. I
had to clean the throttle plates every 2000 miles. Goldwing even had a small screw to
remove so you could blow carb cleaner in hole to clean throttle plate area. I'm
thinking we may have the same problem.

Kaw has a temp sensor too, that could be your issue if yours is temp related. Good
luck. Post back if you find your problem. I'll do the same. I haven't taken mine to
the dealer, plan to figure it out myself. Most of the people at dealer are just kids.
I paid big bucks for dealer to do my first oil change under warranty, said never
again, do my own.

Some gators use the same kaw engine. Check gator sites and see what they are saying.
