my pto on my 806 works fine on my disc mower until you stop to fuel or anything else then it wont start up .. if I let it cool down till the next day its starts up and runs fine what might cause this problem it didn't start this till I changed the filter and hdy oil I did over fill it to try that but nothing.

Does the Steering and Hydraulics work ok if so then. Check the PTO pressure. Down on the left side standing behind the tractor facing it, there is a hole in the bracket that holds the lever pivot. Take that plug out and screw in a gage with the engine at PTO speed it should read about 230-250PSI. If not then turn the valve stem on the lever there to achieve that if it will not then you are at PTO clutch time. If the steering or hydraulics don't work it is most likely the drive spline in the pressure plate. My brother shut down our 1466 one night the next morning nothing worked when he started it back up. It was the pressure plate.
You should be able to remove the cover off the bottom under the clutch with it running using a light you should be able to see if it is turning up in there or not.
The PTO has it's own pump.
