Massey ferguson 1455 round baler

Take it apart at the lacing by pulling the wire out that holds it together and attach new belt end to old belt and pull old belt out while pulling new belt in. When completely thru.detach old belt and lace up new one.

I use one of those load ratchet straps between the top support and the bottom moving support inside the baler, then tighten. Relieves enough pressure on the belts to be able to get them removed/installed, routed and reconnected. If I can't get enough slack, I sit on the existing belts in the baler to put enough pressure to get the strap to tighten more. I start out by opening the rear gate so the bottom belts are horizontal. Then crawl in between to attach the strap. Make sure the tractor is off, parking brake set and with good hydraulics so they do not leak down while in there.
