Check to make sure the gear isn't spinning on the shaft. If I remember right, that is a taper fit and if it gets a little loose the gear will spin but the shaft won't turn.

Make sure that you did not shear the pin in the gear that drives the twine disc.

I'm pretty sure he replied, saying that he had his bale density doors too tight, which caused the problem. Easy to do. The doors almost have to be loose, to be tight enough in good hay.
