Military Funerals...........

I'll start a new thread 'cause I don't want to hijack Chucks.

It's rumored that that Looney church group from Kansas is going to be at the funerals of the Marine recruiters that were recently shot. A lifelong buddy of our daughter's, who is a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Reserves, said, "That group does realize those funerals will be loaded with living Marines, don't they?"

I liked the outcome several years ago when that group intended to disrupt the funeral of a military man down south, Mississippi, I believe. Since the funeral was to be held in a very small town, the church group from Kansas had to stay in a motel some 15 miles distant. The morning of the funeral when the church group went to leave the motel to disrupt the funeral, they found that every single vehicle in the parking lot with a Kansas license plate just happened to be blocked in. And none of the local law officers or tow trucks seemed the least bit inclined to do anything about it.

Small towns do take care of their own.

They wanted to protest at the funerals for those killed in the explosion in West. None of the local hotel type operations could could find any vacancies for them.....

I can't believe how incredibly disrespectful that group is.

I thought maybe they would be done with that bs when the old man died. Guess not. Remember how upset they were when people cheered outside at his funeral?

Had them in this area not long ago. At one point they took the U.S.Flag and dropped it on the ground and started walking all over it. At that point around 50 motorcycle where fired up and started to make so much noise not one of them could be heard saying anything they left shortly after and many where followed out of town my those bikers

Might be paid by some terrorist group. For some reason the press doesn't do anything anymore about "following the money". The answers to some of these things would alarm people if someone just followed the money.

A young Marine killed lived 10 miles from us. About 200 motorcycles led the procession from the airport to the funeral home Friday. The overpasses in our county were closed to traffic and were packed with people waving Marine and American flags. A couple miles from the funeral home cars were lined up on both sides of the main road with people standing far as you could see to honer the Marine. 12 Marines are rotating round the clock guarding the Marine. Local businesses and restaurants as well as neighbors assured that they have plenty to eat and drink. This afternoon coming home from our son's we went by the funeral home , wow Marine and American flags everywhere, the Patriot Guards were there also (on motorcycles). They assured that the loonies from Kansas will be convinced to go elsewhere. He will be buried in our new national cemetary in Canton Sunday afternoon. God Bless our Military.

A couple of years ago, the 24 year old son of close friends of ours died in his sleep of natural causes. He went to bed one evening and simply never woke up the next morning. An autopsy showed no trace of alcohol or drugs.

The young man was a member of the National Guard and had done a tour in Afghanistan. The Patriot Guards were present at his funeral also, to make sure there were no disruptions. Their presence was advertised in advance, so I assume the loonies from Kansas knew better than to show up.

In my previous comments about the Marine who was killed , I forgot to mention his name and that he was one of the victims in the Chattanooga shooting. His name is Lance Cpl. Skip Wells and he will be buried today in our new National cemetary in Canton, Ga.
