Nice.....getting it back in the soil where it can do some good. One of the best things that happened around here is the county has a permanent burn ban. So lease farmers can't burn off their stubble any longer. Great for the owner.

Over here they banned stubble burning 20 years ago. It did get out of control some times and set fire to field hedges.

But it was a good way to kill all weed seeds and small weeds in the grain stubble. Now they have to use chemicals to spray them off. And some weeds like Black Grass are a serious problem and resistant to many chemicals
 
Do you seed that land again this fall or do you summer fallow and seed it again fall of 2016?
 
That is not me. It is adjoining my back yard. He will let it lie fallow until next year. He did wheat this year and corn last year so probably maize (grain sorghum) next year.
