MUST Be Picture Time!

Well, I had better get you guys some pictures of my latest shenanigans! Believe you me! There are a few good ones..... Perhaps even evolving a cut girl! ;)

Got the swather all hooked up, and ready to ROAR! :) Due to the MAJOR drought that North Idaho is in, hay crops are averaging 1/2 to 1/3 what they were last year, which spelled out disaster for my oats. While there were very few weeds, they were thin, and short. Only got a fat ton off of the entire 5 acres! THAT bad! :( Oh well, good learning experience for sure! ;)

<image src="http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/photos/mvphoto24001.jpg"/>

Mom was of course there taking pictures! ;)

Hay went to a good home as well, it will be feeding calves come spring... How do you boys like the stack job there?? Loaded that load by myself in 20 min... Little bales are AWESOME! :)

Oh ya, got a new chick magnet too... When Casey saw it, she said "Oh... Thats bigger than I thought.... When can I drive it!?!?!" She likes it to say the least.... ;) She told me next time I drive through town with it, to lock the doors... Said that if I don't, I might have a few more girl friends in the cab with me, and she wouldn't like that!! :p

Got this not so hot, hot rod too! Free is a good price right? My dad and I put a BRAND NEW Turbo 400 Trans in this 4 years ago, and it has had 282 miles put on it since then. Brand new tires too... 360 gasser, runs like a champ, just needs a battery!! :) I am planning on parting it out, BUT, if any of you guys want it, I'll make you one
'ell of a deal! :p

Think thats it... If I find something else I'll pass it along too!

Had better get myself cleaned up now, going in to town to go on a bike ride with Casey. Where we are going is a "surprise" to me.... OH boy! :p

What's that a Jeep Wagoneer ? I'd clean it up some and try and sell it someplace like Hemmings motors news. Might be worth more than you think ? Defiantly worth more than parts/scrap.

Where's the "cute girl"????Great pictures!Like the straight pipe on the H.Bet it really barks. You didn't abandon the old blue '57?.Good job loading the pickup... :)

You really think so?

I THINK it is a 1972, but have been wrong before! Turbo 400 automatic, last time I saw it, which was a year or so ago, it ran like a top, and the neighbors have owned it a LONG time! May have bought it new? Has a title too! :)

I am going to try to get it running, IF it is running and driving good, SOMEONE will want it! Heck, as the saying goes, in North Idaho, 4wd is worth $500! ;)

Yeah, I'm starting to think Casey is just a figment of his imagination. (I know she sounds too good to be true.)
Beautiful country BTW

Well, has been over a week since I last seen her, and she just bailed out on me for today, so, it IS starting to seem that way!!! :(

Problem is, where ever we go, we are usually alone, and I never think to bring a camera, and mom is usually the one that takes the pictures, SO, kind of doesn't work out all that well!!! Maybe I can get a nice one of the two of us tomorrow.... :) Sure hope so!! :)

She is out and about doing something! ALWAYS! :)

Ya, it makes some noise, but it sure does sound like good noise!! Mom likes it, because when I am working in the field with it, she listens to me, 3/4 of a mile away at the house, and the one day I had an issue and shut it off, she was there in about 10 min! :) Worked quite well!! :)

Nope the 56 6400 is STILL in the "gonna fix that up" pile! Getting quickly surrounded by tractors though...... :)

Those old Wagoneers are in demand.Advertize it.Send it to California.....Some 'redneck wannabe' will go 'bat$h!t crazy for it

I love that first picture!! 8) 8) Wooded mountains in the background with a lake at their foot and an antique IHC tractor working in the foreground.....BEAUTIFUL!!

I hadn't thought about this earlier when I saw your reply, but I had forgotten that you are from Europe.

Perhaps you would like to know more about that lake!

That is "Lake Pend Oreille"

The name is French for "shaped like an ear"
This lake is home to a US Naval yard, where submarine's are tested.
38th largest lake in USA
148 Square Miles
1150 feet deep at high water point

This is kind of like our ocean, not nearly as salty as yours though! ;)

Alright! Now were rocking! I love my little old truck. Pretty darn clean inside and out. Going to clean all the carpets in it Saturday though. They are starting to need it.

Mine is a 1995 K1500, z71 "off road", GREAT truck. 350 in it, 207500 miles. Other truck is a 2000 K2500. 4 door, short box. Has a 454 in it, and MAN will it tug a couple of tractors around!!! ;)

Good looking truck, GREAT looking Oliver!!!! :)

Ya I know it! She makes a calendar for both of my grandmas every year. All the pictures are of course ME, BUT, usually she kind of does it like a scrap book. 3 or 4 pictures to the page. This year, we voted, and it is going to be singles like a normal calendar, so, here is Julys for next year! ;)

Maybe you guys should order a few Bryce Calendars. THAT would make my head explode!! :p

Bryce - looks good! I gather you used the New Holland 68? In the background, looks like the engine is off it? Doing a rebuild or changing over to PTO drive?

Bill

Actually, I couldn't make the engine run, so I happened to stumble across ANOTHER 68 Hayliner, with an engine, and it was given to me, so I drug it home.

Tried to get it running, but still no go. Came up with a clutch and pto drive line off of a Ferguson baler that I have, and had a buddy make me a bearing holder bracket. First turn in the field, I snapped the drive line in half and tore ALL KINDS of s--t up....

Next I bought the baler in the back ground, it is a New Holland 65 "Compact Hayliner". It was rough, but it had a NH clutch, and shaft. Got that swapped over to the 68 (which had to have a new hitch made in order to accommodate it...) and finished bailing!

The baler NEVER missed a bale, of course! :) It is in great shape, and still packs a nice bale! Have it set down to a 30 lb'er right now... Sell those like hot cakes at $5 a bale! ;)

Still taking a loss on that field, but the one at home should be profitable... I sure hope so at least!!

Shill bidding to drive up the price. Most all the astronomical prices on eBay are from that. Check next week and they are relisted.

Don't carry/own a phone. HATE them!

The only phone I use has a 10 foot expandable CORD on it, and is sitting right next to my computer!

What to get ahold of me while I am outside, or in the field? Start driving! :)

Wife had an '87 GW with the 360.Had to replace the engine because of a spun bearing. It also had the variable ventury motorcraft carb.Never did hit 15 MPG with it.Most of the time it was 13 and a little bit.Made good power though.I was glad to see it go down the road for the last time.

You certainly do not want to list that wagoneer for $500, it will be gone faster than you can blink. Seriously, look around first, they are worth, much more than you think, if it runs, and from the picture, it looks to be still pretty good shape, at least $2k, maybe more.
