The left brake linkage on my WD 45 is detached in the axle housing. How do I reattach it?

I'm assuming the brake rod broke?

If you pull the brakes you should be able to remove the broken piece from the block that the rod screws into.

Then, it's a matter of screwing the replacement rod back into the block after the brakes have been reassembled.

If it's not broken can the rod be screwed in without pulling the brake? Can the brake be pulled without disassembling the axle housing?
