OT Better Moust Trap

As we were leaving 2 days ago I happened to see old Slim here on his way to the attic of my shop, (where of course I work on tractors). There are some birds that nest there, (were?). For whatever reason I quit before I finished all the interior trim. I believe I'll be getting right back on that. How in the world they can climb with so little to get a grip on amazes me. gm

Corn or milk snake like to get up onto the garage door track and frame of the neighbor ladies shed across the lane, whereas I've received numerous requests over the years to remove said snake, which most times I'll wear like a necklace on the way out, in view of said neighbor, whom is usually cringing at the sight of this or conveniently not present!

These snakes will only be up in places like that in the morning, seems its too hot later on, so it must be a cold blooded thing. I've seen a corn snake stalk a robins nest on a stack of pipe scaffold, which was no trouble for them to climb. The shed looks more difficult, but I have also seen them stretch upward along a typical size garbage can, from the inside where it was temporarily kept. They can escape by doing this.

He may have sensed the warmth from a rodent or birds, then made his way up there for a look.

One of the guys in the coffee shop was telling one time that he reached up and grabbed the rope to pull the garage door down. Except it wasn't the rope,it was a snake.

What is he holding on to? Didn't know they could do that, or would do that.

From what I've heard, even a short fall to a hard surface can be fatal for a snake!

He climbed right up the side/edge of a piece of wafer board. It's getting a little fuzzy and needs paint but no real "snake handles."

You'r kinda lucky the last snake I saw was a timber rattler on top of a big round bale last week.
