off topic...redneaded neighbor kid..

All,

Long ago I posted of this neighbor kid that showed up like a stray cat. Well,
he's obviously taller, got more face hair, and still has a polite approach.

I don't want to go into details, but I enjoy his tales nonetheless.

He's around because I seen him with (possibly) a new girlfriend(s) and trucks. He even brought his brother for good measure to get a soda from me.

D.

Pa had a neighbor kid show up at his place years ago just as you. He kept coming over because Pa was the first person in his eleven yr. life who treated him with some respect. Kid had a tough life at home.

Glad the young fellow is still around, you haven't posted anything for quite some time about him.....was entertaining though....

There are so many kids today whose potential will never be developed if someone doesn't take them under their wing. Anyone who does so is to be highly commended. The young people find a friend and learn from the experience, and the older person gains the joy and satisfaction of mentoring the younger.

Well put! I agree completely. :D

We had a kid that started coming to our farm when he was 5; he latched on to Dad as his Grandpa as his real Grandpa didn't want anything to do with him. He came back summers until he was out of trade school; he loved doing mechanics at the farm - and it kept him out of the city. Now he's service manager at a large car dealership.
