In need of a good flywheel. Anyone know where I can find one close to Christian County Ky?

The current flywheel is worn too much to be resurfaced.

I would post a WANTED ad in the classified section of this forum. I needed a Governor 2 yrs ago for a 574 Gas Tractor and found a man that
had one in that section. I looked for his address and phone number but evidently I never kept it or I would pass it on to you.

Give Leaman Tractor a call 717-464-2874. They have most anything IH and can ship quickly. And their prices are reasonable.

How much is to worn to re surface. If thats a stepped flywheel like a 695 i Had here, for a
customer the machine shop just moved everything up on specs. They machined the clutch mounting
face, the bottom of the step where the disc lining runs. then what they took off the other faces
removed that from the bolt flange where the heads sit to stop the heads hitting the disc.

The purists will have a fit with this method, we do it with Belarus flywheels to you just got to
be carefull you don't go much more than a 16th to 8th or so of an inch. I cant remember what these
guys did this one to, but it was a fair bit and the tractors still running now. Talk to a good old
school machine shop or an older machinist they might have done it before.

i live in north christian county ky a new 11 inch pick up at my shop 494.00 a 12 inch 486.00 ring gear 58.00 plus fright would be around 56 60 dollar i am guessing on that
