Piston oin bearing having no lubrication holes

Hi All, I am stuck with my overhaul of my
fordson major engine. The bearings in tthe
overhaul kit for the piston pin have no lube
holes in them. Now they do have an internal
X grave into it for the oil, but no holes.
Issue is the ones I pulled out had the holes
on tge top of the concord, however tge
Conrod has on the did a he as well wich is
countersunk too but wasn't used. The two top
lube holes were located the the ends of the
X not tge center aand no countersunk either.
Now which hole (s) should I align tge X with
? Center of X with the side hole which is
countersunk or the top holes which are not
countersunk and at the end of the engraved
X. ? Help please!!!

Not sure I followed the whole post...

But you do realize the bushings will need to be reamed after they are installed? The fit is extremely close and precise, not something that can be done without specialized equipment. My advise would be to let a shop that has the equipment and experience do the work and make the call on the lube holes.

If the bushing comes with an oil hole it often gets misaligned during installation anyhow. The oil hole can be lead a little to hope the amount of turn it gets lines up but it was figured to be easier to just install a no hole bushing then let the engine man drill or dremel one into the bushing. The eliminates the trickiness of getting the hole where you want that usually spins during installation and misaligns .

(quoted from post at 09:22:37 06/27/15) If there is a lube hole in the con rod install bushing then remove and clear at hole with Dremel tool.
emove bushings, drill hole in the center of the X ,remove the burr on the out side, reinstall the bushing in the rod with hole in rod and bushing lined up, take rods to engine shop to ream bushings to proper pin fit.

Thank you all for replying! Indeed I wasn't aware to have it reamed out by a specialist. Just to clarify there are three holes in the conrod, two at the top without a countersunk and one on the side and centre of the conrod/piston pin bore with a countersunk. Which one off holes should I align my engraved lube channels with? The channels look like a X. What worries me is to use the correct hole/s for lubrication. I would like to get as many answers as possible to minimise errors. . I can't use all three as they don't all line up with the lube channels. Thank you all!

ic please.

Do these con rods have an oil bore down the shank to the big end?

No oil bore to the big end no. The
lubrication must come from the oil rings of
tge piston I gather. That's why I am
concerned about it as I do not know whwhich
one off tge holes will get sufficient
lubrication.
