Anyone have a good source for the gears that turn to open the doors on these gravity wagon? I just wasted 30 minutes on the McMaster Carr website and still couldn't find a good fit. I hate to order a new gear and rack - I have four doors to do. I was hoping maybe there was still someone who made a gear that worked.

It has M&W Gear Co, Gibson Illinois 5W-041 stamped on it.

Is your gear broken or worn? I rebuilt one on an old EMCO wagon by welding the teeth up and grinding them back to profile to fit the rack. Took awhile but it's still working fine 10 years later.

Without seeing a picture I don't know how much material is broken out. What I've done to repair something similar was to grind out the broken area, then weld in the right sized bushing where the pin should go and fill in missing material as much as I could with the nickel rod.
