OT Grandson conversation.

My 9 year old grandson and daughter riding down the road. Grandson said to daughter "Mom I hope you had a happy childhood" "pretty good 50+ year old daughter replied" " I've been reading about things that happened in the 90s and it probably was hard on some kids" grandson said. Daughter said " I wasn't a child in the 90s" Wow he replied.
 
I would have loved to be there for that conversation! It's hard to believe that kids can't even comprehend the time when I was a kid. Seems like yesterday to me.
 
That's cause you still act like it sometimes (me too). LOL. Which is a good thing, something we all should do.

Very true. I have an 11 year old grandson who delights in hearing stories of my wife's and my childhood.

Right!

You can't do anything about growing old, but nothing says you have to grow up.

my grandson will be 12 soon.
He likes the old stories too, but you can tell by his face that sometimes he thinks I'm making stuff up.

When we were working on an old tractor once, I told him that this tractor was already considered old when [i:edea7e9b75]I[/i:edea7e9b75] was born.
By the look on his face I imagine he was thinking it must have been used to spread dinosaur manure when new.
 
Young kids think that anyone born in a century with a 19 in front of it is from another planet. I was talking with someone about sharing the bath water and how you hurried inside in the evening so you could be toward the front of the line. The kids were just flabbergasted. I told them you never wanted to be last during harvest because you could feel the dirt under your butt. I thought they were going to come unglued. I also hated it when grandpa was first because he put about an inch of water in the tub.
