All the spring color is gone, replaced with early summer colors. I thank God for
flowers.

More flowers means less to mow and no weed wacking around buildings and trees. Yard and
boarders are full of flowers.

Fear the wild agapanthus. They have been seen in these parts. One might be hiding in there to get you as you walk by.

Yep, life is unfair sometimes. .. thinking of the little apartment I used to have in a grimy industrial town, at a job I hated... farm life and old tractor and all the acreage I want and all the planting I can stand sure is better.

My momma said, you can take the boy off the farm, you can't take the farm out of the boy. Momma was right. After retiring, I got old tractors we had on the farm to mow my yards with and push snow. Only problem is the Jubilee and 72 inch woods finish mower mows too fast. 2 acres in 33 minutes and about the same time in 48 inch trim mower. I use Farmall C with 72 inch and JD with 48 inch mower in the country. Trim time is 30 minutes, mowing around everything first. Farmall time is 40 minutes. Hard to say how many acres. Too many buildings and flower beds.

I can say the old farm tractors are a delight to mow with, easy on by back. High enough to be out of the way of all the dirt other mowers stir up. Not to mention do a great job.
