I priced a Diesel Zero turn and decided to put a torsion seat and top on my little B1750. It has been a good one for 26 years and I believe it will last another 20. I am 80 yrs. old, another 20 years and I will probably need to hire someone to do my mowing.

try again

Only about 6 acres. It is 4 wheel drive, hydrostatic transmission and Bi-speed steering. (when you turn the front wheels 30 degrees the front drive doubles in speed) It turns at the same radius as if a brake was applied. It turns sharp and doesn't tear up the ground. I don't think they still make them but I like it.

I have a B2150 same vintage as yours. It mows all my lawns and then goes to the woods, after detaching the 60" belly mower and coupling up the B350A loader. The unit on the 3pt is a skidding arch with 2500# 12V winch to snatch logs out to the woods roads. The arch has a quick detachable blade that serves as an ancor when winching logs out to the woods roads and also handy with the FEL to stack firewood logs in yarding spots in the woods where I buck and split them into firewood.
The claws in the bottom of the arch hold the blade or my 3pt wood splitter. I built the arch to be a Cat I 3pt. quick attach hitch, also. I also have a 48" front mounted Bevco/Kubota snow blower for it, so it never gets to rest.
Loren, the Acg.
PS. I don't have a nice new seat like that, so if I don't tip it up, I have a wet arzz for a few days after a rain. HeHe.

I have had a 1750 for about 15 years. It has paid for it's self many times over but is dying of old age and abuse.
Looking for a replacement now.

Pat don't know where you got the seat but that sure is an improvement. Check the deck gear box oil and we have go to adding a product made by Lucas. The lower seal in the deck goes out and oil the greas/oil goes out you never know it and scorch a gear box. That is about all that goes wrong with the older 50 series is deck gear box. One other thing I find common on the older units folks fail to clean the radiator. Dow in the corners will be a buildup of grass and seed ect. Water is not your friend but blow ,blow and blow and sometime a flat price of strapping material may have to be eased thru the openings to get that radiator good and clean. We still have a lot of the B 50 series running and yes bi speed turn was a good option that faded away. Just added too much cost to the little tractor for todays market.

I bought the platform (low) at Northern tool, actually through Amazon. The seat came from Tractor Supply. I had to make a plate out of !/4 in steel to interface them. Not an easy chore but but, it sure feels good. The seat is covered with some kind of waterproof cloth looks kind of like canvas. Vynal is cheaper but I hate it.
