Original owned HG Crawler for Museum or Collector

My father has left me an Oliver HG68 Crawler with the wide tracks that he bought in the 40's. He used on the farm in PA for many years. Now in a garage on the farm. Good condition. Ran fine before parking and removing all gas years ago. Everything original.

I know that it is not worth much. A neighbor wants me to just give it to him which is my fall back.

Anyone interested?

I would be happy to give to any museum or collector.

why not put it on craigs list? be careful of some one just taking it to scrap it. Also isn't zimmermans in Pa, at the very least they will part it out to keep other crawlers going.Bill in western ny.

There are a good number of people that I bet would love to have it. I know I would love to have if. I have an HG 42. In that condition I have seen them sell for $1000. I.E. not running. I payed that for an OC3 that did not run. Running it could be worth $2500 or so

Tractor is in New Alexandria, PA (near Pittsburgh, PA). I will be back in PA in two weeks and I will take some pictures of it.

Maybe I will take a shot at selling it. I have to see what equipment is still in the garage as he had bought a brush hog with wheels about 20 years ago. Would kill me to see it parted out as I can still see my dad driving it in his white t-shirt and the hay loose wagon behind it. I will look for some old pics with it in use as we are cleaning out the house.

The big question on a crawler is the condition of the tracks. Good tracks are worth
something, and worn out ones bring the whole tractor down. If nothing else talk to
Zimmermans, they are on the other end of PA, but will steer you in the right
direction.

I second the poster below. Watch out for the neighbor! You've already had posters below who are interested. That should tell you it's worth a few bucks. Talk to Zimmermans.
