looking for some help identifying in engine in an international fire truck. I have a blocked number and a head number but haven't had any luck on the Internet. hopefully somebody can help me identify so we can buy parts for it it's getting overhauled right now

I guess I can't figure out how to post pictures. the block has a number on it of k27 and the head has a number on it of k110 and k19. i can text pictures email pictures if that will help

Those are not IH part numbers or casting numbers. The engine should have a machined area on the block, just below the head on the right side near the front. ON that machined area should be the engine size/model [such as SD220 or RD450] on the top line, and the engine serial number below it....IF it's an IH engine. In the early days, IH used Waukesha, Willys, and Continental engines, and Cummins diesels...besides their own engines.

Is the engine a 4, 6, or 8-cylinder? Gas or diesel? OHV or flathead?

I jusr bought a 1961 c-120 int 4dr 4wd and it has the big 265 6 cyl . The truck originaly belonged to the 753rd radar squadron up here at the Sault Mich border . It takes 72 for clearance at the border before i can import her to Canada . Will try to post pics for you guys .

As I said, the engine numbers are STAMPED into a MACHINED FLAT on the engine block.

If you're going by CASTING numbers, those may be date codes.

And why can't you simply TELL me if it's 4, 6, or 8 cylinders? If you don't know that, you probably shouldn't worry about what engine size is.
