At the local market yesterday. Is this when the money falls out going down the road? This is in south jersey not up state NY. Nice body work.

Looks like the body was made of pre-rusted steel. That wouldn't surprise me a bit these days.

With that Ford nose that thing is verging on 20 years old. My last bus had the old style (a 93) but I recall feeling rooked because that new body style wasn't too many years after that. At 20 she's doing pretty good.

Seemed for years they used the heavy chassis single axle GMC brigadier or earlier but same model, forget what they were, car haulers were always the same model, but short chassis, the armor cars had the allison trans and detroit diesels and the back half of the always showed rust or stains. Now they don't see to look nearly as bad, as the old brown and tan ones usually did.

I used to live next to a bank and they made stops at the same time each week. I was on the 3rd floor and had access to the roof, the bank roof was peaked above ours and you could look down into the bank through the glass. I used to think what if someone took a surf cast rod with treble hooks and weights, hooked one of those bags from behind the parapet (not coins)LOL !!!

I sure as heck was never going to try it, was funny to think about though ! I can still hear those coin bags being stacked on carts, every Monday at about the same time it seemed, too predictable I thought.

The body may have been put on a replacement chassis I think they were called glider kits. Thus the body may be several years older that was put on a new frame and running gear.....my opinoin most likly salt from the roads.
