International delight or generic creamer??

Here is some food for thought.
I'm hooked on coffee creamer, partly because my stomach can't handle black coffee any more and partly because I like the taste of french vanilla. I buy it by a half gallon at wally world for $5. Last time I was there I asked the man working in that department who makes the generic creamer next to the International delight for $1.20 less? He used his RF gun and says International delight. He also said all the generic dairy products are made by Pierre Farms, which it's sitting next to. He went on to say, just ask anyone working in the department to scan the product with the RF gun and look at the fine print, it will tell who makes it. It's a good chance the generic brand is likely made by the brand name it's next to.

So next time I'm there I'm going to find out who makes wally's generic oils. Good chance it the same as what it's sitting next to.

Just because its made by the same company doesn't mean its has the same ingredients or is the same quality.I worked at a place in the 70's that made things like frozen dinners and pot pies for several different brands each brand had their own receipe. All made on the same production line but totally different products.

The generic creamer tastes the same, the head and sholders works the same. Just because it generic doesn't mean it not the same.

I too like French Vanilla coffee creamer. I've bought various brands from time to time inclucing Krogers, Aldis, Coffee Mate, Baileys (my favorite) and International Delight (next favorite). They all tase different from one another.

The manufacturer of generic products changes from time to time depending upon business conditions.

My Mother was of Norwegian descent, and started me on coffee at around kindergarten age. Her famous saying was "If you are going to drink coffee, drink it black. Don't put cream and sugar in it like the Swedes do!"
I still drink it black!

That would be about like reading the possible side effects of any drug you might be prescribed. I watch the commercials on tv and say, "boy am I glad I don't have to take that' lol gobble

Wal-Mart has many name brands that make products special for them. Good years tires and either Lee or Levi jeans (can't remember which). On a load of jeans the load to Wal-Mart weighs several thousand pounds less with the same number of units in it compared to Fleet farm. So just because it comes from the same place does not mean it's the same.

I was brought up with either milk or the cheap powdered creamer. That's what I still use. Whole milk, not skim or 4% or almond or soy just regular milk.

Because of my stomach issues, I also put powered milk on my coffee to reduce the acid. It's creamer and powered milk or I have to give up coffee.
