13 stripe gophers dug up very one of the 160 sweet corn seeds I planted 8 days ago. perfect little holes every six inches.
Step one replanted. step 2 filled sprayer on ATV and packed the seed rows.
Step 3 spread couple punds of field corn seed near the gopher holes.
Step 4. Installed the Gun boot and Marlin .22 Mountie on the ATV
Step 5. Set two rat traps baited with peanut butter in the garden.
Step six. Watched a dozen reruns of Wiley Coyote and his schemes.
 
Dad and my uncle would always tell me stories about how they would put 1/4 stick of dynomite by gopher hole . Wait for him to pop up then shoot it off with .22 .
 
I carry my .22 in the cab with me when I'm mowing. Alomst every time I've got one in the scope I can hear Bill Murray singing "great big gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts"
 
do as Wiley Coyote and set up a giant sling shot and after the gopher comes outta the hole and sets it off ya can use em as skeet targets
 
We did a lot of trapping in our younger days, I don't know if I remember how to set a deadfall anymore but we used to catch coon and such with deadfalls, just large flat rocks with a figure 4 release with bait on the stick.
