hydralic cylinder not extending all the way on marker

I have a white planter and my marker cylinder won't extend fully to put it up all the way to lock position. I had replaced a hose last year as it rotted out on it. Tried bleeding or today but no help. Ideas?

I don't know anything about the design of your markers so I'm just going by general experience here. Is there a buildup of dirt stopping the cylinder or marker linkeage? Has wear caused the lift cylinder or linkeage to shift to the side or up or down somehow making it catch on something? Pinched oil line? The problem probably is in the cylinder itself but some weird things happen when a machine gets some wear on it. When i had a Deere 7000, every spring i had to pull the marker actuator out of the main frame tube to remove the mouse nest so the markers could switch sides. Just one of those things.

Put a straight-edge on the cylinder ROD, make sure it has NO bends. Even the slightest bend can keep the rod from retracting fully. I've had that happen on rods that were even 4 inches thick (LARGE Hyd. cylinders).
