Gotta go to the sawmill next week

Saw an ad on craigslist for a guy with lumber to make a new 9 x 18 flat rack. I called him up and priced out lumber for an 8 x 16 with back standard and it'll run me about $350 for all lumber (oak and ash), including 4x8 stringers. I was pricing out treated last year and it was around $450 to build the same size wagon.

I had the local sawmill prepare lumber for two new hay racks this past Winter. He used ash, 5X6 main beams, 4X6 cross members and 5/4 decking. One wagon is 8' by 18' long, the other 16' long. I needed to buy four 4X4 posts for the standards, but he had provided enough extra deck boards for the slats. I paid $765 for the rough sawn lumber.
