Snap-On tool prices

I have a friend that is retiring and wants to sell off some of his tools. I looked up some prices on the Snap-On website. How close are the web site prices to the prices the drive around truck dealers charge?

Thanks

When I sold of some of my tools a few years ago the website was the same as the route drivers charged.

Truck prices are subjective based on how well the driver likes you and if you like to haggle. Snap-On is way too rich for this mechanic's blood, so I basically only have a few specialty tools, things I won from GM, and things being sold as a loss leader. If you are selling online, they seem to sell at a third to half of retail. Not many people getting into this business, so the market for them is shrinking. I don't have any name brand tool dealers anymore.

same price most of time can haggle lower but if a franchise driver gets caught selling online they lose their franchise
