I just installed a new Westendorf TA25 loader and connected to the rear remote and I don't get any hydraulics. I put the linkage in float position like the manual says but it does not work. I can move the lever in to fast retract position and it works but you have to manually hold the lever in that position. in float position the lever locks but no hydraulics.

It is working like it should, you do not have any pressure either way when in float. If you are using a two spool valve you need to change your lever back and tie it forward so that the tractor supplies your independent valve.

Yes that is what you must do to feed oil to your valve. Another way is to hook direct into the hyd system and not use your remotes. Post down in the John Deere section and they will tell you the part numbers for the fittings to use.

I checked my previous posts to determine that I had already explained to you with photos a better way to attach FEL valve to tractor hyd's so I'll leave that subject alone.
