My 1972 white tractor needs hydraulic fluid and I can't seem to locate the reservoir or where or how to add the fluid.

I was cutting brush and the PTO still spins but not strong enough to make the bush hog work.

Any help locating this would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx
Rusty

Don't know which model you have but most later cockshutts have the hydr tank in plain sight on top rear back under the seat with a dipstick on back that services as a fill hole.

I found the dipstick to check the levels but it's hole is smaller than the width of a pen. No way to fill there. Did find something under seat but only way to access it is to remove the seat which seems a little much just to add fluid.

I don't know how long you have had your Oliver, which you failed to mention what model it is!!!.
It is hard to help you when you can't provide reasonable info. Stop running it until you understand what you are dealing with, before you cause yourself major expenses to repair your ignorance of your tractor. Get an operators manual and set down and read it!!.
Sorry to come on harsh here, but you spent your hard earned money to buy this older tractor, as it has been a good number of years since Olivers wer built, and you started using it, without even knowing how to check and top off all liquid levels.

It's a white 1365. Sorry I failed to mention that. You're right about needing to get a manual. Just got ahead of the game.
