Great D day web site.....

Just found this link on another site I frequent. Take a look for some great then -and- now pictures of D-Day.

It's really cool seeing the same area in present day, and also on D-Day. If you can click on the image and get the old and new to sort of fade, and blend together, it's actually sort of surreal.

I can't seem to get the link to embed, so here's a cut and past for you.

Really enjoyed the photos.

Thanks for <a href="http://interactive.guim.co.uk/embed/2014/apr/image-opacity-slider-master/index.html?ww2-dday">sharing the link to the website</a>.

Amazing pictures! Thanks for sharing with us. Always interesting seeing pictures of then and now, like pictures of the trenches and then seeing them today.

I've thought of doing something similar when I retire. Look though archives of landscape panoramas, you can often locate where the photographer was with Google Earth; would be a fun project.
