My friend inherited a 1947 McCormick Farmall A Tractor in great shape. What is it worth?

The issue is no hydraulics were provided on the tractor. That limits (somewhat) the desirability. It looks to be well kept and if it runs as good as it looks, about 1750 to 2200. More in some locations and much less in others. Belt driven hydraulics can be adapted with some engineering skill. They are nice for small scale vegetable work. Jim

Often times the steering is worn out & sloppy on these old "A's" or Super A's, making it hard to steer or cultivate with. $1,000-1,200 without the cultivators.

Looks like it has a belt pulley in the back which is a nice accessory. Yes the picture of the gal on the wall is in pretty good shape
too...LOL

I have rebuilt several none were worn out but sure did need bushings, bearings and a new key but after replacing worn parts ended steering like new again but never had one that was shot beyound repair.

Farmalls are pretty reasonable in my area,
but the little A's and SA's still bring a good buck.
Lots of fresh fruit and vegetable stands here.
and every other one has a belly mower under it.....
bare A's $1000-$1500
Super A's $1500+
with a belly mower or cultivators....+++...like even to the $3k level at auction. yikes

I have an A.
I consider it a WheelHorse on steroids.
handy little thing
