Grandpa's funeral

Pics from grandpa s funeral today and yesterday. I took his '52 super M to the visitation, and dad drove his '49 Chevrolet 3800 truck. We parked them right at the door. The visitation lasted over 4 hours, with a long line the whole time. We hauled him to the grave today in his old truck. He restored both these and several other tractors. He was quite the man, I'll make another post soon telling more about him, and what I stood and said about him today. I'm exhausted, been a long few days. I hauled the m in the procession today. R.I.P. Papa

More to come later

I'm sorry for the loss of your Grandpa. The pictures are a great tribute to his life.

To me, the last pic has a lot of meaning and shows how much he mean't to his family.

Condolences.

Very nice send off. Grandpa is a happy man!
Dixie said she is going to lay me away in a new pair of Roundhouse pin strip bibs and a new Oliver hat. She would probly haul me off in a manure spreader though. With all the teasing things I have pulled on her she would probly kick it in gear on the way.

VERY SPECIAL.
They drove my dad past his farm on the way to the grave yard and stopped for a moment.

What a beautiful and fitting tribute to your Grandfather...........May he rest in peace and look down on you with favor. God Bless
