Although Memorial Day is a day set aside for those Soldiers Sailors and Marines killed in the wars and "police actions" humanitarian missions. I hope you think about all of those with Post Traumatic Stress Disease (PTSD). They lost their former selves to the war action, they won't forget, they CAN'T forget. As much as they would like to. No matter your political persuasans, Remember the soldier, not the politician who put them in harms way. gobble

Thank you. I am one of those vets that suffers from it. But they didn't call it that in nam. I am one of the lucky ones. I have managed to live with it although I don't sleep well many nights.I have had friends that couldn't take it anymore, know guys that are alive but not really. But the great system that promised us help. Has told me we will get help. Been 41 years and I am still waiting.

I have the ultimate respect for our servicemen. I feel a bit guilty as I did not serve. I feel I missed an opportunity and wish I would have gone into the service but I did not. I feel I owe a chunk of my life to others, I try to thank someone who was in the service any chance I get. I always have my flag flying on the farm. I speak out against those that complain about our great country, etc. I guess I am just trying to do as much as I can now since I didn't go into the service then.

To our vets, thank you so much, I couldn't be here to do these little things I do without the sacrificed that you made. I really do owe it all to you. I hope you can enjoy this Memorial Day and everyday, for it is you that have earned it for us all here in the great USA!!!

I was in the Marine Corps during a big share of the 'Nam war but the Corps saw fit to occupy me elsewhere.

It may sound strange, but I've always felt a bit guilty for not having been there, and kinda feel like I missed something important.

No big deal. From Nam on less that one percent of the population served at any one time. There are other ways to serve too.

I am also a Vietnam vet, USMC, and like Billy, I have PTSD + several other issues. Don't like to talk about it.
