i am not an expert, but looks a lot like the new idea hay rakes that both my dad and uncle had when i was a young kid. the gear box and the way the hitch is made is why i say this. it also would tedder hay, but i can con not tell you a model number.
hope this helps.

Sure looks like a IHC to me . They used to be as common a dirt around here, you could pick one up for $25 on
most auction sales. I have dragged that same type of rake countless miles. very durable. just don't turn to
fast or you will bend the front wheels. It is meant to travel horse speed, not tractor speeds.

It's an antique, that's for sure. Those have been obsolete for 60 years. Look around on the gearbox or wheel hub castings for company logo or
part numbers.

I'd call that a McCormick open gear 3 bar side delivery rake (since that's what the company called it).

Those old rake makers copied each other's designs quite a bit so they all can look pretty similar, but I'm about 85% sure that's what it is.

Somebody tried to throw you off by painting it green and yellow.

The old mccormick rakes didn't have model numbers. They just had the descriptive name. I've got a newer closed gear 4 bar model that I love using. A real pleasure to use on small fields where you don't mind going slow. I'm sure the 4 bar was an improvement over the 3 bar, but might still be worth playing with just for fun.

That is a McCormick 3 bar rake-tedder built up to 1960 and still a desireable rake where I am at. It is the last version of rake-tedder that McCormick built. You have the newer style teeth that can get expencive but I have contacts that I can get them for at about half what they would cost at a farm store if they could even get them. I see you have a few missing so do you have all the clips to hold the teeth on? Do not go to the dealer for them as last I checked a few years ago they were around $33 each. I do have extra used ones of them if you need some. That particular version was started in without checking my books started in 1938. That setup to adjust the height of the back end of the real is very touchy to get working and when you do it is very hard to lift for transport. Most once set stay the same all the time.. That rake did come with a rubber tire option with 36" front and 9" rear tires. And I do in my colection of manuals have the owners manual and also the dealer parts books. If you can look back in the archives under my name you will find a lot of information about those McCormick rakes.

I have a couple that looks just like it - I did find the IH logo somewhere on mine - can't remember where. It was hard to find. I use one of mine every year. I'd love to find a source of tines as I am missing some also.

I was reluctant to chime in here that it is an IHC due to the paint job. It looks just like the one we had 65-70 years ago, only ours was red!
