Is control arm perfectly straight? Mine has a slight bend. I have no lift control until touch control lever gets about 2 inches from top and at about 3/4 inch wants to go all the way up and no draft control at all. thanks

Is your draft control lever, under the seat, vertical? It sounds like it is the draft position, which is horizontal.Mark

The arm that goes from the top cover inside the unit (to the pump)? Yes, it should be straight. Everyone will tell you to bend it straight. Let me share a story.

Mine was in a very pretty arc. I couldn't have made a better bow in it if I tried. It bowed out in the middle a good two inches. I layed it down on the machine shed floor (bow side up) and tapped it with a hammer until it was straight. Like, just nice taps - the rod isn't a thick thing. I decided it needed one more tap. I hit it one last time and the ball end that fits into the pump broke off and shot across the machine shed. It was like something out of the three stooges.

I welded it and ground it back down, but the mental torture was too great. I got a used replacement and kept the welded one as a backup. Be careful when you bend it.

Not uncommon.

Control rod should be straight.

Replace cam follower pin.

Adjust linkage per procedures. Fixture helps.
